The mattress is a two-part, OEKO-TEX®-certified special mattress with rounded corners that fits the Sebra Bed, Baby & Jr., both in the baby stage and as an extended junior bed. It has been tested and complies with the safety requirements in the European standard EN16890:2017. The cover is FKTV-certified and thoroughly tested to ensure that it is free from harmful chemicals and allergy-causing substances. The FKTV certification is a quality mark that gives you peace of mind that the mattress is both healthy and safe for your baby to sleep on. The cover is soft and made from quick-drying polyester and TENCEL™. TENCEL™ are natural fibres that can absorb the moisture that naturally occurs when the child sleeps. The combination of the two materials ensures a good sleeping environment with a comfortable lying temperature. Along the sides of the cover there is a wedge of extra breathable ventilation material that provides optimal air circulation, and a safety zipper so the child cannot open the cover by accident. You can open the cover with, for example, a paper clip when the cover needs to be washed at 60 degrees. The core of the mattress is made from high-quality Flake foam and Orbis foam. The foam is LGA-certified and has undergone extensive testing of, among other things, its health and environmental safety. The aim of the LGA test is to guarantee you a health-safe mattress for your child. The two cold foam types ensure excellent lying comfort for your child, and keep their shape so you do not experience a mattress that collapses. You therefore have a 5-year warranty against sagging on the Signature mattress. The mattress’s wave-shaped underside ensures that moisture is transported away so the mattress remains fresh. Part of the mattress foam is leftovers from previous productions. This means that no material waste occurs, and that the mattress core may look different from mattress to mattress. When you order the Signature mattress, you receive two mattresses. You use the larger mattress in the first period, when the child is newborn, and until you need a longer bed. You use the extension piece when you extend the Sebra Bed into a junior bed and need to lengthen the mattress. You therefore do not need to invest in extra parts as your child grows. Please note: Always change the mattress if your child is going to sleep in an inherited bed. A used mattress is not hygienic, and research shows that a used mattress can lead to allergies and skin problems.
